Keep the network understandable
Pair a visual hierarchy with a searchable tree. Group large sets of associates, filter by role and let users focus on one branch at a time.
Enterprise UX · Partner management · AI-assisted prototyping
Explore reporting relationships, find people and manage their details without losing the wider context. An anonymized enterprise UX project.
A partner network contains several management levels and large groups of associates. A flat list makes relationships difficult to follow; a complete organisation chart can quickly become unwieldy.
I designed the partner-management experience and developed an interactive hierarchy prototype, using AI-assisted prototyping to make navigation, transitions and detail states tangible.
Pair a visual hierarchy with a searchable tree. Group large sets of associates, filter by role and let users focus on one branch at a time.
Animate changes of focus so the selected person and their reporting relationships remain connected as users move up or down the hierarchy.
Open partner information and edit states in the side panel while retaining the surrounding hierarchy. The prototype also explores adding people.
The wider design work also includes login explorations and wireframes for delegation and reporting. The hierarchy shown here is a concrete example of the interaction design.
The design has been delivered and implementation is in progress. Names, branding and the visual theme have been adapted for this portfolio; the interaction design is preserved. The prototype uses fictional data and local state, with no connection to operational systems.
Choose a person in the list, move into their team, or open their details from the chart. The prototype uses generated sample data and can be reset by reloading.
